We have brought all our teams together (virtually) to create a weekly #EdsentialAtHome educational activity sheet that can be downloaded and completed at home. Each week will be centred around a different theme and will have activities in arts and crafts, mental health and wellbeing and getting involved in nature.
The work sheets can be enjoyed by children and young people of all ages. We hope you, and your families enjoy working through these activities together.
Following requests from schools, we have also set up the #EdsentialAtHome PE daily challenge. We hope it will encourage schools, parents, and pupils to get active and share any activities they are doing in school or at home. You can catch up on all our challenges so far by visiting our YouTube channel here.
Where possible, we are trying to ensure children and young people can continue with the lessons they would normally enjoy in school.
We know how important music can be for children and adults alike, getting us through difficult times. If your child is currently having instrumental/vocal lessons with an Edsential tutor, we have taken their lessons online!

Our Catering and Cleaning Staff, or as we call them, our #EdsentialHeroes, have been in schools ensuring our vulnerable and key workers’ children get their school meals and have a safe and clean environment to work in. We will continue to support school that will remain open over Easter break and for the foreseeable.
To see some of our extraordinary staff working in schools check out our Facebook and Twitter!
We have also been contacted by several schools who use other catering and cleaning providers to see if we can support in feeding vulnerable and key workers’ children at this time, or even just offer our advice. If you too need support in this area, please do not hesitate to contact us at hello@edsential.co.uk. We are all in this together.
Our governance team have also been adapting to the new terrains and supporting schools with facilitating meetings over conference call. As always, our team will continue to provide advice and guidance to Governing Boards. Governing bodies can also find valuable guidance on the continuity of governing meetings from the NGA here.
