Dr Anne Buckley
I am a primary science consultant based on Wirral, Merseyside working in a consultancy called ‘Inspiring Science’.
Current roles:
I have a first degree in chemistry and a DPhil. in materials chemistry from Oxford University. My PGCE is in secondary science from Brunel University (1995). I have worked as a secondary science teacher in Oxford and in Cheshire. Since 2007 I have been working in the primary sector, independently in primary schools running workshops and science clubs and also as a Primary Science Consultant Teacher at the Discovery City Learning Centre in Prenton, Wirral. Here I developed and taught a range of science and IT workshops to thousands of children and devised and delivered CPD courses on current issues in primary science.
After graduating I worked as a senior research scientist at the ICI Research and Development Labs at Runcorn Heath and as a post-doctoral research fellow at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA.
