Environmental curriculum SLA – ENJOY, ENGAGE, ENRICH, EXPLORE

The Environmental curriculum brings together a combination of CPD sessions that will support teachers in being confident and competent as an outdoor curriculum lead as well as creating an exciting and engaging curriculum.

The package includes the following:

• Access to termly twilight cluster CPD sessions with a curriculum focus

• 4 x Forest skills (twilights or 1 full day) sessions covering site audit, fire-lighting, tool use, campfire cooking

• 3 x seasonal staff curriculum support meetings

• Visit leader training – instilling confidence in taking learning beyond the school gates, covering Health and safety, effective supervision, duty of care and emergency procedures

• Updates of the DfE Environmental Curriculum, National Nature Park and the Climate Leaders Award

• Access to our online Environmental curriculum portal full of useful information and lesson plans and resources

• Sign positing to funding, free resources and activities including farm visits

• 1x Halton Environmental Celebration summit for teachers and young people
