Join our ‘Healthy Cooking on a Budget’ training workshops for HAF providers, designed to equip you and your team with practical skills, ideas and confidence to deliver engaging cookery sessions for children and young people. With a simple aim of bringing providers together through food, these sessions focus on inclusive delivery for children with SEND, supporting wellbeing, participation and confidence through hands-on learning. We explore how to deliver simple, nutritious meals that are affordable, accessible and full of flavour, while sharing practical approaches to meet a wide range of needs in a relaxed, supportive way.
This is training delivered in the same style we use with children so providers learn by doing. You’ll cook, take part in activities and experience the sessions first-hand, giving you the tools and understanding to confidently run them in your own setting. All ingredients, equipment and materials are provided just bring yourself and a smile!
We create a welcoming, down-to-earth space where people can learn together, share ideas and build confidence. And because sharing food is central to what we do, the training finishes with everyone sitting down together to enjoy what has been made, a simple but powerful reminder of the social value at the heart of every session.

“Veg Ed staff were fantastic, knowledgeable and positive. The group size and venue were also really welcoming and felt safe. I made some helpful network connections with other course attendees”
“I’m so glad me and my colleague did this course. We found it very useful as we at times are left wondering what to make with items we get donated”
