I am an experienced School Improvement Adviser with a background in primary education, technology and local authority advisory services. I became a Deputy Safeguarding Lead for Edsential in 2014 and became the designated Lead in April 2017. I provide advice, support and training to all Edsential employees and to schools, parents and young people on Safeguarding, E-Safety and the application of technology. I have assessed schools for the 360 Degree Safe Quality Mark and I am a CEOP Ambassador. As a result of being passionate about children’s entitlement to a rich, diverse curriculum, I actively promote the safe and effective use of technology.

As an accredited Safer Recruitment trainer I offer schools and child care settings quality-assured Safer Recruitment training from the Safer Recruitment Consortium as well as support and guidance on safeguarding.

Through my work with Governors Services I provide training on the safe use of technology, Safer Recruitment, Academisation, Pupil Premium funding and preparing for Ofsted.

Engaging children in a stimulating and exciting Computing curriculum allows them to create and develop technological responses to the world around them. It is all about identifying problems, solving them and refining solutions. Computing includes making choices about the technology and devices to use, creating with them and developing programs and applications for specific purposes. Underlying all this is the safe and appropriate use of technology and how it impacts on our daily lives.
