I have a wealth of experience in managing soft services within Private healthcare, Universities and in manufacturing environments.
I previously worked as a Soft-Services manager with Sodexo, reducing operating costs by introducing a lean management approach and raised the profile of health and safety.
I have gained healthcare experience through Nuffield Health and BMI healthcare at a number of private hospitals and represented a number operations managers at a corporate level.
At Nuffield, I achieved Benchmarking Award for the way I controlled the costs, and was also responsible for leading the investors in people process at Chester Nuffield hospital and coordinated the care-quality commission audits.
I have a wealth of experience in Team Leading in the Cleaning and Catering Industry as a result of having worked in schools for over 25 years.
I have an empowering staff approach and understand that the staff are Edsential’s greatest asset.
I have a wealth of over 20yrs experience of working within some major local companies such as Trinity Mirror, BNFL, and the waste disposal section for what was Cheshire County Council.
My last role involved managing property repairs for Admiral Taverns on over 900 public houses, and making sure that all relevant insurances were in place.
Having helped make Admiral pub company of the year I decided that it was the right time for a change, and hopefully with the help of the team around me, and all our staff out in the school, we can make Edsential just as successful.
I have been employed by the council for 24 years and have always been involved in cleaning and catering for schools. Consequently, I have a vast array of experience and understand the needs a schools requires with regards to cleaning – vital to my role as a team leader.
I have been able to implement different working procedures and demonstrate these to staff to facilitate how they go about their roles.

As we are without a caretaker…The office staff asked Mark (Edsential Cleaner) if he could do the toilets as he was absent. Mark worked like a trojan! The toilets are the cleanest I have seen them and all re stocked with tissues etc. Not only that, but he got round and did all the classrooms as well.
