Engaging Boys with Dyslexia in Reading and Writing

Edsential are pleased to welcome Neil MacKay, the freelance consultant and trainer who created  the concept of Dyslexia Friendly Schools.

Neil will be leading a conference on the 27th September at the Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port,   the conference will focus on engaging boys with dyslexia in reading and writing.

Neil is an  experienced teacher who has taught for 26 years,  working with children with a wide range of ages,  needs and ability.  He is known for his ability to bring the classroom  into his training and for providing lively,  entertaining and thought provoking opportunities  for teachers and teaching assistants to reflect on  and develop their practice. His audiences particularly appreciate his ability to  offer workable responses to a range of learning needs, including AD(H)D, Asperger’s Syndrome and Dyspraxia in ways which meet diverse learning needs without affecting the work of the rest of the class.

The conference is just £100 and places can be booked online.

The conference has been organised by SEND lead Sue Calveley.  Sue worked in a dyslexia friendly school for 17 years and has taught for 30 years.  Sue delivers dyslexia training and can support dyslexic pupils.  If you require in-house bespoke support please contact sue.calveley@edsential.co.uk.
