Square Pegs in Round Holes – Inclusion and Exclusion: Thoughts for Governors
Inclusion in schools ensures that every child feels valued and supported, fostering a sense of belonging and empowering all students to reach their full potential. In contrast, exclusion and suspension can isolate students, disrupt their learning, and negatively impact their emotional and social development. Both provide challenges for Governors and senior leaders as the seemingly increasing needs of children make increasing demands on schools, teachers and leaders.
