Our Competition for all Programme takes place weekly at local schools or leisure centres.
The competitions are a wonderful way to introduce children to sporting competition, so that they can experience the physical and social benefits from playing sport with and against other children.
This year, the calendar has expanded, there will 3 different types of events over the year which schools are able to access.
Competitions For All- These events are for beginners – pupils who have not taken part in a school v school event before, those who are new to the sport. They are also useful for smaller schools that may find it difficult to take part in more formal events. The focus is on participation, achieving personal bests and enjoyment.
Festivals- These events are for children in EYFS or Key Stage 1. They are designed to: give children access to different sports activities; increase physical activity levels; encourage healthy, active lifestyles from an early age and introduce children to larger events to support them to be ready for competitive sport across Key Stage 2.
Competitive- These events are for your more skilled children, those who regularly play the sport, are a member of clubs/ teams and may have represented the school before.
