Andrew Allmark – Cleaning & Facilities Manager

Andrew Allmark was appointed as the Head of Edsential’s Cleaning & Facilities Management Service in February 2017.

In work….

Andrew worked for Sodexo who provide total facilities management services for 4 years. Andrew had oversight of all soft services on a large pharmaceutical site; this responsibility included managing all cleaners, porters, reception, catering, grounds maintenance and laboratory services. Andrew has a degree in hotel management, a certificate in management and is IOSH trained.

Andrew is married and has a 21 year old son, in his spare time he enjoys gardening, reading, socialising and cooking.

In the future….

Andrew is reshaping the cleaning service to ensure that it is providing an exemplary service. Andrew and the team will:

Collect customer feedback to understand needs and shape developments
Ensure the service is more visible with more visits to schools
Strengthen relationships with schools
Be more approachable
Conduct 365 degree appraisals for all staff – including Andrew
Introduce a more practical uniform
Introduce a training programme and record for all staff
Undertake further ‘back to the floor’ days, joining the team on the job
Implement further quality assurance methods
Implement Esitracker a remote worker management system
