Cheshire Youth Orchestra Auditions

Cheshire Youth Orchestra Auditions

Auditions for Cheshire Youth Orchestra –  Saturday 23rd September 2017
Mid Cheshire College.

The Cheshire Youth Orchestras* comprise some of the most talented young musicians from all over Cheshire. The three orchestras provide a fun and friendly environment where young musicians can meet and play in a symphony orchestra setting on a regular basis to develop their musical skills.

  • Although passing your grade five exam is not a requirement, we recommend that you can play to around grade five standard for this orchestra.
  • For the audition, we’d like you to play two short contrasting pieces or extracts from two pieces and there will be a short piece of sight reading.
  • The audition will last around ten minutes and you will be given written feedback.
