This online session will equip headteachers, curriculum leaders, teachers and practitioners with knowledge and skills to evaluate current music provision. It will explore how to prepare for ‘deep dive’ music subject inspections under the new Ofsted framework, focussing on the three I’s; Intent, Implementation and Impact.

Participants will:

• Create or review their vision statement for music, and consider how to communicate their vision to staff, children, parents and carers.
• Understand ‘what progression in music looks like’ and review planning focussing on the National Curriculum, the Model Music Curriculum and Edsential’s Progression of Skills document.
• Review examples of previous Ofsted deep dive questions and consider ways to articulate and evidence meaningful responses.
