Come and Play with the Hallé 2023

We are excited to offer your pupils the opportunity to participate in a live music event with the Hallé Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall this summer. An inspiring and unforgettable experience that will stay in their memories for many years to come.

Event Details

Date and time: Wednesday 5^th July at 1:30pm

Your pupils will experience the world class Hallé orchestra play carefully selected pieces chosen to inspire and motivate young musicians. Pupils will have the opportunity to participate in the concert and forever be able to proclaim that they have performed with the Hallé Orchestra!

Participation

Prior to the concert the children will have learnt two songs which they will perform as part of a massed choir at the event. In addition, for those schools who will have had two terms of WCET before the concert (have been participating in continuous Whole Class Ensemble Tuition since January), your pupils will have the opportunity to participate in two instrumental pieces. The pieces will be taught in your weekly WCET lessons during the summer term by our tutors.

As we enter the 17^th year of the ‘Come and Play’ series from the Hallé Orchestra, we hope that your pupils will be included in the many thousands that have the accolade of performing with the Hallé Orchestra.

Cost

The cost of this event is £7 per child and includes free staff tickets (Note: Additional staff outside of the free 1:10 ratio, will be charged for).

Audience members

Family and carer tickets will be available from Edsential nearer the time via a link that will be emailed to all participating schools.

Venue:  Bridgewater Hall, Manchester

Wednesday 5^th July – Arrive: 12.30pm. Rehearsal: 1.00pm. Performance: 1.30pm

Submission Deadline: Final date for submissions is Wednesday 10^th May 2023.

This is an extremely popular event and spaces will be allocated on ‘first come, first served’ basis. You will be contacted shortly regarding your status and if you have been allocated a place. You will be asked to confirm final pupil and staffing numbers to secure your place.
