I started working as a primary school teacher in 2014 after completing a BSc Sports Coaching degree and a PGCE. Having been a PE Subject Leader for the last 3 years, I have experienced first-hand what is expected of schools and the running of the PE curriculum.
I joined the Edsential team in September 2017 and have taken on a number of roles including the delivery of PE lessons; mentoring teachers to develop their PE teaching skills and confidence; and I am now lead member of staff for our swimming services to schools.
I am passionate about making a difference to young peoples’ lives and hope to do this through PE, Sport and outdoor learning.

I have spent the past 14 years working within Primary and Secondary schools across Wirral and Chester in a number of roles, ranging from Teaching Assistant, Class Teacher, PE Subject Leader and Specialist Sports Coach to my current role within Edsential leading our team of PE staff.
I am passionate about empowering schools to deliver high-quality, inclusive physical education that makes a lasting impact.
Having left the Classroom in 2017 and joined the Edsential team in January 2018, I love that my job provides me with the opportunity to work full-time within my biggest passion: Helping children to be active and achieve success through PE, sport and physical activity.

After qualifying as a primary school teacher in 2016, I spent 7 years teaching in different countries and cities as a classroom teacher, PE teacher, sports coach and outdoor learning educator.
I joined the Edsential team in 2023 and now continue my passion to keep all children active through PE, Sport and outdoor learning.
My current role is Physical Health and Wellbeing Specialist, which consists of supporting teachers in CPD programmes and providing specialist support to targeted groups of children.
I have also undertaken the lead on OAA in the PE curriculum and Engaging Girls in Sport.
In my free time I play football for my local team, go on walks with my family and visit as many new places as possible.

I spent 23 years as a teacher in a Primary School. Throughout these years I worked in all different year groups starting in FS2 and working my way up the ages before spending the last 11 years working with Year 5/6. For 23 years, I was the PE lead organising the PE and sport within the school. My role involved organising the long-term plan for PE, organising CPD for staff and auditing the teaching and learning in PE, sorting PE and Sport Premium, ordering equipment, running extra-curricular activities and taking children to competitions and events. I have experienced first-hand what is expected of schools and the running of the PE curriculum.
I joined Edsential in 2021, taking the opportunity to work full-time with children in PE and Sport helping them to be active and to achieve success. As well as working with teachers to develop their PE teaching skills and confidence through CPD, and working with children to deliver focused programs, I am also in charge of the Edsential Competitions for All Programme. This runs all year with at least one competition a week for children from Primary Schools to compete in. The competitions are a wonderful way to introduce children to sporting competition, so that they can experience the physical and social benefits from playing sport with and against other children. I also organise the HAF programme run in Easter and Summer at venues in Cheshire West and Wirral.
I have a passion for PE and Sport. I enjoy watching all sport but particularly football and cricket and I spend a lot of time watching my children playing sport. I enjoy walking, getting outdoors and reading.

I have spent the past 18 years working within primary school PE, Sport and Physical Activity.
During this time I have taken on a number of roles from PE Subject Leader, EVC and PE Teacher to my current role within Edsential.
I previously spent the four years working as a specialist PE Teacher for Wirral Local Authority before moving to EdsentiaI in December 2015.
I currently lead a team of teachers, coaches and specialists in the delivery of Edsentials’ PE, Sport and Physical Activity Programme and Lead the School Swimming Programme in Wirral.
I have a real passion for PE and Sport and I have experienced first hand how it can transform the lives of young people.
